Local primary school ‘Beat the Street’
A local primary school had reason to be cheerful recently, after receiving a generous donation from the official supporters’ club of Glasgow Warriors.
St Paul’s Primary School received a donation of £300 of Amazon vouchers from the XVIth Warrior for their efforts in the Beat the Street campaign, which aims to encourage physical activity across Glasgow.
The school were invited to watch a training session at Scotstoun before receiving their prize, along with a further £100 of Amazon vouchers donated by the club. Elizabeth Stewart and Siobahn Mackinnon from the XVIth Warrior presented the prize to the primary school kids.
The Beat the Street campaign sees participants earn points for walking, running and cycling between designated locations, playing either individually or as part of a team.
Robert Stewart, Chairman of the XVIth Warrior, said: “We’re delighted to be able to donate our Amazon vouchers to St Paul’s Primary School.
“It’s great to be able to do something for the local community and we hope they come in useful.”
