Glasgow Warriors break Season Ticket record

Glasgow Warriors break Season Ticket record

A record number of Season Ticket Members will be cheering on Glasgow Warriors for the 2021/22 season, after confirmation that more supporters than ever before have signed up ahead of the new campaign.

With just over a month to go until the start of the inaugural United Rugby Championship campaign, the record was broken late on Friday afternoon.

So far just over 4,540 Season Ticket Memberships have been sold, with supporters still able to snap up the final few available to buy.

The news comes as preparations continue for the new campaign, with Newcastle Falcons set to visit Glasgow’s west end for the opening match of pre-season in just over a week’s time.

Kicking off at 7pm on Friday 3 September, the fixture will see the Warrior Nation return to Scotstoun for the first time since February 2020 to roar on a squad containing new faces such as Jack Dempsey and Sione Tuipulotu, as well as young Scottish talents such as Ross Thompson and Cole Forbes.

Glasgow Warriors Head Coach Danny Wilson welcomed the news, saying: “To have a record number of Season Ticket Members sign up for the new season is such a massive boost for the club.

“The players are so keen to run out in front of fans at Scotstoun once more – for some of these guys, it’ll be their first chance to wear the Glasgow badge in front of that passionate home support.

“I know that the boys are really looking forward to the opportunity, as are myself and the coaching team – your support means a great deal to this club, so thank you for continuing to get behind your Warriors.”
