Glasgow Warriors Awards Dinner returns this May

Glasgow Warriors Awards Dinner returns this May

The annual Glasgow Warriors Awards Dinner will be held in person this May for the first time in over two years.

Malcolm Group will return as the primary sponsor for the
black-tie event at Hilton Glasgow on Tuesday 24 May, marking their eighth year
as title sponsor.

The evening will be hosted by leading Scottish broadcaster
Emma Dodds, who will be familiar to supporters from United Rugby Championship
coverage on Premier Sports.

Fans will once again be given the opportunity to vote for
their McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season in the build-up to the
event, which will be the final prize awarded on the night itself. A further
eight awards will be handed out across the evening, including the SP Energy
Networks Community Hero Award and the Try of the Season, presented by
University of Strathclyde amongst others.

The 2021 ceremony, which saw the award winners announced
across a week on the club’s social media channels, saw Ross Thompson claim
double glory by taking home the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season
and Land Rover Young Player of the Season prizes.

Those in attendance will also have the chance to show their
support for the club’s Official Charity Partner, Glasgow Children’s Hospital
Charity, as well as Hearts and Balls and Wooden Spoon.

Glasgow Warriors Managing Director, Al Kellock, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to come together and celebrate the achievements of
our players and those in our community after two years recognising these
successes remotely.

“There is plenty of action still to take place on the park
between now and then, but we look forward to seeing you and celebrating the
2021/22 season in May.”

Andrew Malcolm, CEO of The Malcolm Group, added: “We are
delighted to once again support the Glasgow Warriors in sponsoring their annual
Awards Dinner.

“Sponsoring the club has been a great journey and it was
an easy decision to sponsor the event again.

“Last year’s awards were very different due to them being
virtual, so I am greatly looking forward to this year’s event.”

In the coming weeks, more information will be shared for
how supporters can attend the event.
