Glasgow to face Worcester Warriors in first confirmed pre-season fixture

Glasgow Warriors will play Worcester Warriors on the road this September, with the first of their two pre-season fixtures being confirmed.

Warriors will travel to Sixways on Friday 10 September for a 7pm kick-off, with a reciprocal visit to Scotland arranged between the two sides for next season.

This fixture could mark a return to Sixways for Glasgow’s re-signed fly-half Duncan Weir. Starting his professional career at Glasgow before spending three seasons with Worcester – via Edinburgh – Weir has enjoyed fan favourite status at both clubs.

He welcomed the announcement saying, “It’s hugely exciting to go back down to Sixways, and it will be a different experience but it’s one that will give us a good test against a quality opposition.”
