Fagerson to make first Lions start
Zander Fagerson will make his first start for the British and Irish Lions on Wednesday evening, after the tight-head prop was named in Warren Gatland’s starting XV to take on the Sharks.
The 25-year-old became the 848th player to pull on the famous red jersey by coming off the bench in Saturday’s victory over the Sigma Lions, becoming the first Glasgow front-rower to represent the British and Irish Lions since Gordon Bulloch on the 2005 tour to New Zealand.
Fagerson played 25 minutes in the win in Johannesburg, coming away with a 100% tackle success rate from his cameo.
The match will be shown live on Sky Sports, with Channel Four providing highlights through their All4 streaming platform.
