Bean selected for Babcock Trophy

Glasgow Warriors second-rower Lewis Bean will represent the British Army in the biggest match of the 2022 Inter-Service Championship this weekend, after being named in the starting XV for Saturday afternoon’s Babcock Trophy match against the Royal Navy.

The 30-year-old, a corporal in 2 Rifles, has previously played in the fixture throughout his professional career, including in the 100^th anniversary of the fixture back in 2017.

Bean has made 16 appearances for the Warriors since initially arriving on loan in the 2020/21 season, scoring three tries in Glasgow colours to date.

Kicking off at 2pm, the match will be streamed live on BFBS TV, Radio and the Forces News YouTube channel.
