TJ Ioane joined Glasgow Warriors on loan from London Irish in October 2020, bolstering the club's back-row options with his physicality and ball-carrying.
The flanker was included in his country's squads for both the 2015 and 2019 Rugby World Cups, playing against Scotland in the latter tournament.
Ioane made his breakthrough with Otago in New Zealand's ITM Cup; his try in a 26-19 win over Waikato in 2013 helped his side claim a first Ranfurly Shield since 1957, one of his 37 appearances for the region.
He then made the switch to the English Premiership with Sale Sharks in 2015, having previously represented the Highlanders in Super Rugby.
Capable of covering each of the back-row positions, Ioane was a key member of the London Irish squad that returned to the Premiership in 2018/19, making 20 appearances for the English outfit.
