Tongan tighthead Siosiua Halanukonuka joined the Glasgow Warriors in the 2017/18 season, arriving at the club from Super Rugby side the Highlanders.

The prop made 17 appearances in his first season at the club, scoring his first try in a 37-23 win over the Toyota Cheetahs at Scotstoun.

A dynamic front-row forward, Halanukonuka made his Super Rugby debut in 2016, going on to make 26 appearances for the Dunedin club. He also lined up against the British and Irish Lions on the 2017 tour, winning the ultimately decisive scrum penalty for the New Zealanders.

The prop has also represented his country with distinction, including in their famous 19-17 victory over Italy in November 2016.
