Sean Kennedy

Scrum-half

Sean Kennedy returned to Scotstoun on a one-year partnership contract with Stirling County in August 2019.

The scrum-half had previously enjoyed a brief loan spell at the club in the 2012/13 season, making his debut against Zebre at Scotstoun in September 2012.

A seven-year hiatus between Warriors appearances was ended when he came off the bench against the Ospreys in October 2020, playing the final 15 minutes.

Kennedy made 66 appearances over an eight-year stint at Edinburgh Rugby, whilst also enjoying a loan move to London Irish in 2014.

The former Alloa RFC man – who is the cousin of Edinburgh and Scotland second-row Grant Gilchrist – has also represented his country with distinction on the World Rugby Sevens Series, helping his side to a Challenge Trophy victory at the 2019 Hong Kong Sevens.

Kennedy scored his first try for Glasgow in December 2020, touching down against the Dragons at Scotstoun.

He made his first start in front of supporters at Scotstoun for 11 years when starting against Ulster in November 2023, scoring a try to cap the occasion.
