Ryan Wilson made his debut for Glasgow Warriors against Leinster in September 2010.
Wilson joined Glasgow Warriors in 2010 after making appearances in the English Premiership A League with London Irish and Wasps.
The Scotland international back row made a immediate impact for the Warriors in the 2010/11 season, most notably when he delivered a man of the match-winning display in the Champions Cup win over Wasps at Firhill in January 2011.
Ryan was a vital part in Glasgow securing their first Guinness PRO12 title in 2015, and has since gone on to reach 100 appearances for the club, reaching the milestone in a defeat to Edinburgh in January 2016.
A key member of the Warriors squad, Wilson was named as club captain by Dave Rennie ahead of the 2017/18 season, before sharing the role with Callum Gibbins for the 2018/19 campaign. He continued as co-captain in Danny Wilson's first campaign in charge, sharing duties with Fraser Brown in 2020/21.
He won his first cap for Scotland against Wales in the 2013 Six Nations, having captained the Scotland ‘A’ side to their first win south of the border against England Saxons in January 2013. He was then named in the 31-man Scotland squad for the 2015 World Cup and played four matches at the tournament, before helping his side to a first Calcutta Cup win in a decade with a 25-13 win over England in February 2018.
The back-rower became only the second player in the history of Glasgow Warriors to reach 200 appearances in January 2022, coming off the bench to bring up the double century away to Exeter in the Heineken Champions Cup.
