Callum Gibbins joined from Super Rugby side the Hurricanes ahead of the 2017/18 season and made his debut for Glasgow Warriors against Ospreys in September 2017.
The hard-tackling flanker made 15 appearances across all competitions in his debut season, scoring six tries in the process as he quickly established himself as a favourite with the Warrior Nation.
His leadership qualities were a valuable asset to the squad, a fact that saw him jointly awarded the Al Kellock Leadership Award alongside Peter Horne before being named as one of the club's co-captains for the 2018/19 season.
Gibbins was first called up to the Hurricanes training squad in 2013, and made his Super Rugby debut for the Wellington-based franchise in 2015.
The back-row went on to be an integral part of the Hurricanes squad, plying his trade alongside the likes of Ardie Savea and Victor Vito in the 2016 title-winning back-row, as well as scoring against the British and Irish Lions in 2017.
Gibbins had previously worked with both Dave Rennie and Jason O’Halloran, having played under the pair during his time as captain of the Manawatu Turbos in the Mitre 10 Cup.
