After impressing for Scotland 7s, Alec Coombes joined Dave Rennie's squad for pre-season ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The Hong Kong-born flyer was part of the Scotland squad for the 2018 Sevens World Cup in San Francisco, before being named as a Scotland core squad member for the first time ahead of the 2018/19 World Sevens Series.

Coombes has previously represented Scotland at under-20 level, playing alongside George Horne, Paddy Kelly and Robbie Nairn in Scotland's back-line at the 2015 World Rugby Under-20 Championship.

Formerly of Bath Academy, the centre has also turned out for London Scottish in his career to date.
