A formidable front-row presence, Aki Seiuli joined Glasgow Warriors in the 2019 off-season after impressing for Otago and the Highlanders.
A product of Timaru Boys' High School, Seiuli earned a place in the Otago squad for the 2012 ITM Cup after helping Taieri Eels win the 2012 Dunedin Premier Club Championship.
The loose-head caught the eye with his dynamism in the loose in addition to his prowess at the set piece, playing 38 times for the Highlanders in Super Rugby after first receiving a call-up as injury cover in 2014.
After suffering a knee injury that ruled him out of the 2019 Super Rugby season, Seiuli returned to action for Otago in the 2019 Mitre 10 Cup, helping his side to three successive defences of the Ranfurly Shield.
He was part of the Highlanders squad that defeated the British and Irish Lions in 2017, coming off the bench alongside future Warriors team-mate Siua Halanukonuka.
Seiuli's impressive debut season with the Warriors saw him nominated for the 2019/20 McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season award, having been voted as the club's Warrior of the Month for February.
