17 Warriors named in Scotland's Natwest 6 Nations squad

Gregor Townsend has named 17 Glasgow Warriors players in the Scotland squad for the upcoming Natwest 6 Nations.

Uncapped D’Arcy Rae could make his debut this spring called up alongside fellow Warriors front rowers Jamie Bhatti and George Turner.

Jonny Gray, Rob Harley and Ryan Wilson are the other Glasgow forwards selected.

Scrum-halfs Ali Price and Henry Pyrgos are included as are stand-offs Finn Russell and Peter Horne.

Alex Dunbar, Nick Grigg and Huw Jones will go from competing for a Warriors shirt to competing for a Scotland one while in the back three Lee Jones joins British & Irish Lions Stuart Hogg and Tommy Seymour in Townsend’s 40-man squad.

Ruaridh Jackson has played all but one game for Glasgow this season and his excellent form has been rewarded, the 29-year old has been named as one of 19 backs.

Stand-off Adam Hastings has also been invited to train with the squad throughout the tournament.
