European fixtures confirmed

The fixtures for the pool stages of the 2017/18 European Rugby Champions Cup have been announced, with Glasgow Warriors opening their campaign with a trip to the English champions in Round 1.

Exeter Chiefs will be the hosts for Dave Rennie’s first European match in charge of the Warriors, with the game at Sandy Park scheduled for Saturday 14 October (kick-off 7.45pm) live on BT Sport.

Glasgow then return to Scotstoun seven days later for the visit of fellow Guinness PRO14 side Leinster, with the Irishmen looking to repeat their European successes of 2009, 2011 and 2012.

The match on Saturday 21 October will kick-off at 1pm and will be live on Sky Sports.

Former Scotland coach Vern Cotter’s Montpellier will be Glasgow’s opponents in the European double-header in December, with the star-studded French team travelling to the home of the Warriors on Friday 8 December (kick-off 7.45pm) live on Sky Sports.

Rennie’s men will then make the trip to the Altrad Stadium on Saturday 16 December (kick-off 2pm) live on Sky Sports, having edged a 15-13 victory against Montpellier on their most recent trip to the south of France in 2014.

The Warriors will travel to play Leinster on the weekend of 12/13/14 January and will then host Exeter Chiefs at Scotstoun on the weekend of 19/20/21 January, with the exact dates and kick-off times to be confirmed after Round 4.
