Glasgow Warriors join forces with Land Rover

Land Rover has been unveiled as the Official Vehicle Partner of Glasgow Warriors.

The announcement was made at Scotstoun Stadium, the home of the Warriors, with the help of Scotland internationals and Warriors’ stars Finn Russel, Stuart Hogg, Jonny Gray and Tommy Seymour.

Land Rover’s partnership with Glasgow Warriors is the latest addition to the company’s long standing support of rugby at all levels of the game; from grassroots to the elite.

The three-year deal will see Land Rover directly support the game in Scotland and is testament to its commitment to investing in rugby in the UK.

As an active sponsor, Land Rover will look to engage its Scottish retailers through its relationship with Glasgow Warriors, helping strengthen ties with the local community and encourage the growth of rugby in Scotland.

Land Rover now boasts a UK rugby sponsorship portfolio that includes a presence in England, Wales and Scotland. Land Rover is the Official Vehicle of Premiership Rugby, Principal Partner of Welsh regional side Cardiff Blues, Main Club Partner of English Premiership Rugby side Wasps and Title Sponsor of the UK grassroots rugby programme, the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup, which has been engaging the next generation of rugby players for nearly a decade.

The Land Rover logo will feature on the front and back of the Warriors playing shirt for the first time when they play Leinster in Dublin on Friday night.

Nathan Bombrys, Glasgow Warriors managing director added: “Land Rover is the latest blue chip company to join our family of sponsors and it’s great that they’ve chosen to partner with Glasgow Warriors in order to further strengthen their position within UK rugby.

“The Land Rover brand and its outstanding range of all purpose vehicles has such a rich and respected heritage in rugby.

“To have the excellent support of a global brand that shares similar values to us, made this a natural fit for the club and we’re really looking forward to working closely with them over the next three years.”

Jeremy Hicks, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover UK, said: “This announcement is testament to Land Rover’s continued support of rugby in the UK, and by joining forces with Glasgow Warriors Land Rover is making an important addition to the brands portfolio of rugby sponsorships.

"Land Rover has a heritage in investing in rugby at all levels of the game; from grassroots to the elite, and working with Glasgow Warriors offers an incredibly exciting opportunity to support the game in Scotland whilst complementing Land Rover’s wider UK rugby strategy."
