Warriors clinch Puafisi signing

Glasgow Warriors have signed Tongan international prop Sila Puafisi.
The 27-year-old tight-head has joined the GUINNESS PRO12 champions from Gloucester on a one-year deal, subject to visa and medical.
Puafisi has 16 caps for his country and has played for the Aviva Premierships side 35 times since moving to England in November 2013.
Prior to his arrival he spent a year at the Tasman Makos in the South Island of New Zealand.
He was part of the Tonga squad which finished third in the Pacific Nations Cup and will play for his country at the Rugby World Cup in England next month.Hugh Blake has signed a two-year deal
Meanwhile, the club have also confirmed that back-row Hugh Blake has signed a two-year deal with the club.
The 22-year-old, who won his first cap for Scotland in the narrow defeat to Ireland in Dublin earlier this month, has been on loan from Edinburgh Rugby since March.
Sila Puafisi told glasgowwarriors.org: "I'm really excited about joining Glasgow Warriors after the Rugby World Cup.
"Gregor (Townsend) told me all about the club and after speaking to him I really wanted to sign. It's a very ambitious club and a very competitive squad.
"It'll be a new experience for me playing in the GUINNESS PRO12 and I'm joining a team which won the league last season, so this is a really good move.
"I've enjoyed my time at Gloucester and would like to thank my teammates, fans and everyone at the club who helped me and my family settle in well over the last 18 months.

"I'm now looking forward to the Rugby World Cup and then moving up to Glasgow with my family.”
Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "We've watched Sila (Puafisi) for a while now and he has really impressed us.
"He's been in good form for Tonga in the Pacific Nations Cup and will add to the competition we already have in our front-row next season.
"He played a lot of games for Gloucester last season both in the English Premiership and European Rugby Challenge Cup and we believe he has the all-round game that will fit in well at Scotstoun.
"Hugh (Blake) will add to the depth in the squad and has the ability to play anywhere in the back-row.

"He is an intelligent rugby player who has a big future in the game.
"We look forward to both players joining us following their international commitments."
