McConnell set for Nottingham switch

McConnell will join Nottingham next season

Murray McConnell will leave Glasgow Warriors at the end of the season to join English Championship side Nottingham.
The 22-year-old scrum-half made his debut off the bench against the Scarlets in 2012 and was handed his first start for the club earlier this season in the defeat to Munster in Cork.

He was part of the 2015 Melrose 7s winning team and has made five appearances for the club, while also representing Ayr in the BT Premiership.

Murray McConnell said: "I've loved my time at Glasgow and I've learned a lot, but I'm now looking forward to the next chapter in my career.”

Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend added: "I'd like to thank Murray for all his efforts while he's been at the Warriors and we wish him all the best down at Nottingham."
