Wasps Provide Perfect Physical Challenge

Glasgow head coach, Sean Lineen, is looking forward to the Warriors" final pre-season fixture against London Wasps tomorrow night (Friday 28 August, kick-off 7:30pm) before the opening game of the 2009/10 Magners League next week.

Seen as ideal preparation in terms of the physicality they will bring ahead of the season opener, against current champions Munster on Friday 4 September (kick-off 8pm), Lineen is hoping his side continue to apply their impressive attitude shown during the summer months.

"Wasps are ideal opposition in terms of the physicality they"ll bring to the game," he said, "especially with a massive game against Munster next Friday night.

"Wasps have made some huge signings over the summer and are a very passionate and very physical side."

Although the Warriors are entering their final preparation game of the year, Lineen still feels he has time to experiment with his squad.

"It's still pre-season so we"re still trying a few things but we"re all looking forward to another good hit-out.

'there's still huge competition for places so we"ll give a few players a run and hopefully the supporters will like what we"re trying to do ahead of the new Magners League campaign."

Tickets for the Wasps friendly are priced at _15 for adults, _10 for concessions and _5 for under 18s. Season ticket holders can attend this match, and bring along a friend, free of charge.
