Kellock On Crunch Qualifier

Glasgow captain Al Kellock wants his side to make a statement in their final pool game against Saracens with a chance of quarter-finals qualification.

The Scotland lock believes his side has already surprised people, but getting the bonus point win they need against the English side to reach the next stage for the first time is still a target for his team.

"_We are very excited and looking forward to it, there is a buzz around the place, everybody knows it is an opportunity," he said.

"We have to be confident, there cannot be any mentality about them being a great team - we have to think about what we have to do to get that bonus point and that is the attitude we will have.

"We have to win the game and we have to play the game sensibly. You do not score four tries in the first ten minutes, you score four tries over the 80 minutes and that might mean taking the kicks at goal at times.

"It might mean going for the corner - that will be a decision for myself, though Dan Parks will have a say and Sean Lineen will have his opinion on the sideline.

'these are the games you want to play in, it is very exciting times. I like to think we have made a statement already, I do not think too many people would have expected us to be going into the last game with a chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals.

"We had a reasonably tough group, nobody has found it easy against Viadana, so a statement has been made and there's maybe another to come on Friday."

Saracens won the home game between the two sides 33-31, but have strengthened since then with the arrival of the likes of former All Blacks lock Chris Jack.

'they are a good team and you just have to look at how they are going in the premiership to see that. The fact they have strengthened is difficult to say because we have not played them since then," said Kellock.

"I expect them to be a quality team like they were last time. I do not think I have ever come across Chris Jack before so I am looking forward to it - it is always good to come up against players with quality reputations."
