Glasgow Warriors recorded a famous win over Racing 92 in Paris this evening to keep themselves in contention in Pool One of the European Rugby Champions Cup.The Glasgow players celebrate Alex Dunbar's first-half try

The Warriors won 23-14 with the two sides set to clash again at Scotstoun in just six days time.

An early converted try from Juan Imhoff, after former All Blacks winger Joe Rokocoko broke through from his own half, put the hosts in front but two Finn Russell penalties cut the gap to just one point.

Moments later Russell executed a planned move to perfection, holding the defence with dummy runners from either side before slipping a pass to Tommy Seymour. The Scotland international tore through the gap and Stuart Hogg was only denied a try by some good scramble defence.

The Warriors repelled several Racing line-out drives and a patient attack saw Finn Russell put Alex Dunbar through to score their opening try after 30 minutes, after the Scotland centre ran a perfect line to crash through the midfield and dive over.

Russell was again instrumental as Glasgow stretched their lead early in the second-half. The Scotland fly-half weaved through the French defence and when the ball was recycled just short of the try-line, scrum-half Ali Price burrowed over to score at the base of the post. Russell's conversion gave Warriors a 20-7 advantage.

Glasgow's ferocious defence continued to keep the home side out and despite a late Dan Carter try, the Warriors came out on top much to the delight of their hundreds of travelling supporters.

Glasgow Warriors sit second behind leaders Munster in Pool One ahead of next Friday's return fixture.
