Ryan Wilson

Ryan Wilson joined Glasgow Warriors in 2010 after making appearances in the English Premiership A League with London Irish and Wasps.

The Scottish international back row made a immediate impact for the Warriors in the 2010/11 season, most notably when he delivered a man of the match-winning display in the European Champions Cup win over London Wasps at Firhill in January 2011.

Ryan was a vital part in Glasgow securing their first Guinness Pro12 title in 2015, and has since gone on to reach 100 appearances for the club, reaching the milsetone in a defeat to Edinburgh in January 2016.

A key member of the Warriors squad, Wilson was named as club captain by Dave Rennie ahead of the 2017/18 season, before sharing the role with Callum Gibbins for the 2018/19 campaign.

He won his first cap for Scotland against Wales in the 2013 Six Nations, having captained the Scotland A side to their first win south of the border against England Saxons in January 2013. He was then named in the 31-man Scotland squad for the 2015 World Cup and played four matches at the tournament, before helping his side to a first Calcutta Cup win in a decade with a 25-13 win over England in February 2018.
