The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK’s only national charity dealing with all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis, one of the nation’s most common life-threatening inherited diseases.
One in 25 people in the UK carry the CF gene. Five babies a week are born with the condition, while two young lives a week are lost.
For the last two years, Glasgow Warriors staged a sponsored abseil at Murrayfield in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
In April 2012 150 people, including Warriors players, coaches and staff, made the 100ft descent from the roof of the West stand and raised some £34,000 for the charity.
