WARRIORS GET RESULT OF THE SEASON The Glasgow Warriors have walked away from Ravenhill in Belfast with Scottish rugby's result of the season tonight, having triumphed 24-10 over title holders Ulster in the Magners League. Coach Sean Lineen was clearly delighted with the win over the side that were, until tonight, sitting second in the league behind Leinster, a team that Glasgow also scalped with a 26-20 home win at the beginning of this month. He said: "Tonight we out Ulster-ed Ulster with our passion and commitment. This was a fantastic team effort and there are some battered bodies in the changing room because the boys put their bodies on the line. When we lost to Ulster at Hughenden in January their supporters we sing at ours, tonight it was our fans singing at them. "There are so many young players in this squad but they have done so well tonight and this season. Players like Moray Low, John Barclay and John Beattie in the forwards played incredibly well while Graeme Beveridge and Dan Parks controlled the game in the backs. It really was a team effort." he added. The Warriors scored three tries in the match as Rory Lamont, Barclay and Beattie all bagged scores while Parks converted the three and added a penalty. It's not getting any easier for the Warriors who have two matches left this season. The Ospreys travel to Hughenden next Friday (4 May) for the last home game of the season (kick-off 7.30pm). That side have leapt up the league tonight with a 19-17 win over Leinster to keep their title hopes very much alive. The Warriors then hit the road again as they head to face Munster for the season finale on the weekend of 11/12/13 May. Lineen said: "They don't get tougher than the games we've got coming up. Ulster were gunning for the title but Ospreys are right up there now with their win over Leinster tonight. It's our last home game and these players deserve recognition for the win tonight so I hope we get a good crowd down to Hughenden on Friday."
