Further to the publication of a report by Glasgow City Council this afternoon, Scottish Rugby and Glasgow Warriors can confirm that discussions have taken place with various bodies in the west of Scotland about the future provision of rugby facilities in the region. These discussions have been very positive and will continue in the coming weeks.

The role of Scotstoun Stadium has featured in the discussions, and the feedback from Glasgow Warriors players and staff is that they have found great benefit in being based there day to day.

It is important to acknowledge, however, that Firhill Stadium remains the club’s playing base, and that both Glasgow Warriors and Scottish Rugby enjoy a strong working relationship with Partick Thistle FC.

Regardless of where Glasgow Warriors stage their matches going forward, supporters will play a key role in the process of determining how to deliver the best possible match-day experience for all stakeholders.
