Richie Gray fever continues to sweep the country, with sightings of the giant lock’s striking features reported across the land. Lenzie RFC are the latest to bear witness to the phenomenon, as many as four Richies on hand to enjoy their annual family fun day and tag tournament last Sunday. Despite monsoon conditions, the minis, midis, club and family members in attendance stuck in manfully, with the treacherous underfoot conditions making for an interesting tussle on the tug of war. Event organiser and Warriors fan Murray Cruickshanks is among those lending his support to the Hearts and Balls Party Night at the Old Fruitmarket, Candleriggs, Glasgow on Friday 10 June. With music from Big Vern ‘n’ the Shootas and the John Beattie band, plus a disco and stand up comedy, the event is a fantastic opportunity for the Glasgow rugby community to come together and raise funds to help support four young men, Ciaran Pryce, Connor Docherty, Nick Watt and David Azhar, who have all suffered serious injuries playing rugby over the last decade. Tickets cost £20. To purchase, visit www.tickets-scotland.com or send an email to Jim Taylor, West Ambassador for Hearts and Balls: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Alternatively, phone Jim on 0141 942 0178. LET'S MAKE THE WHOLE OF SCOTLAND A GRAY AREA! Richie Gray masks have already been spotted in various sites across the central belt, and another 1,000 will be given out to the young participants in the Festival of Rugby taking place in conjunction with the Emirates Airline Edinburgh 7s. Wherever you’re heading this summer, spread the Warriors word by taking along your mask and sending us your photos. We’ll set up a gallery to show the latest sightings of the biggest force in the west, and Richie himself will pick his favourite before the start of the season and send the winner a signed Warriors shirt. So get posing and get posting.
