Glasgow Warriors will travel with a squad of 24 for their first warm-up match of the season against Dundee HSFP at Mayfield on Saturday (7 August).

Head coach Sean Lineen says he’ll be looking at some of the younger players in his squad and that contact and defence will be the areas under the coaches’ microscope.  The game will kick-off at 3pm.

The squad will complete their training with two fixtures already announced against Sale Sharks (Firhill, Friday 20 August, kick-off 7.30pm) and away to London Wasps (Adams Park, Saturday 28 August, kick-off 3pm).

Aviva Premiership side Sale Sharks will visit Firhill on Friday 20 August (kick-off 7.30pm) in what will be the club's only home pre-season friendly.

Season ticket holders will receive THREE briefs for the game, one for themselves and two for friends or family (on a like-for-like basis).

Meanwhile, Lineen also confirmed today that Warriors will visit Scottish Cup holders Ayr for a training session on Tuesday 24 August.

“We’re going down to Millbrae that evening for a training run with Ayr.  We’ll do some work in units and the emphasis will be on organisation and technique,” he explained.
