Christopher Curtis Fusaro signed for Glasgow Warriors in summer 2010 having won honours at all three Scotland age-grade levels from under-18 to under-20 as well as Scotland 7s and Scotland A squads.

His under-19 and under-20 debuts were marked by victories: he was in the team who beat Italy in the under-19 match in February 2008 at Parabagio, and a year later his first international at under-20 was in the 18-17 victory against Wales at McDiarmid Park, Perth, on the opening day of the age group’s Six Nations Championship.

Chris went on to play in all 10 of Scotland’s under-20 international matches in 2009, scoring three tries, the first in the 35-20 win against Ireland, also at the Perth stadium. He followed up with a try in each of the games against Japan and Fiji in the IRB Junior World Championship in Japan in June. He captained the team in the Osaka wins against Fiji and Tonga.

In sevens, after playing for the Rugby Ecosse Scotland squad in the Singapore event in October 2007, he went on to be an ever-present for Scotland in the eight tournaments on the 2007/08 IRB Sevens World Series. In the second of those events (in George, South Africa) his first major-tournament try sent Scotland on the way to victory against Australia by 21-10, a result that helped the Scots into their seventh successive IRB cup quarter-final. In April 2008 he was in the Scottish Thistles’ squad who won the Melrose 125th anniversary sevens. His international sevens career continued with the Scottish Thistles’ squad who won the Shield in the Singapore tournament in November 2008, and he also played for Scotland in the IRB tournaments in Dubai and George before the end of the year.

Prior to joining the Warriors on his debut professional contract, Fusaro represented Scotland A at the IRB Nations Cup in Romania.

Early in 2007 Chris was among a group of boys who achieved a notable double in playing for two trophy-winning teams at Murrayfield in eight days – Bell Baxter High School beating Dollar Academy 20-8 in the Bell Lawrie Scottish Schools Cup final, and Howe of Fife winning the SRU Youth League final against Musselburgh by 27-14. He has also played for Scotland under-18 as well as Caledonia under-16, under-17, and under-18, and he was in the Bell Baxter team who won the Scottish Schools under-17 4 x 100m relay championship.
