In the midst of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, a star from rugby's equivalent has signed for Glasgow Warriors. ![]() Aramburu battles his way past Phil Godman and Matt Mustchin at the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Argentine international centre Federico Aramburu, who scored a try in the semi-finals of world rugby's ultimate prize in 2007, will join the Warriors this summer. Speaking on the new addition to his squad, Warriors head coach Sean Lineen said: "Federico is a quality player with loads of experience having played at international level and in France with Perpignan and Biarritz. "He's coming here to play rugby and will add real quality and competition to our outside backs." Aramburu added: "Signing for Glasgow appealed to me because they are a club performing well in the Magners League and Heineken Cup. "The team enjoyed success in reaching the Magners League play-off last season and their future ambitions match my own. "This year is an important one as the Rugby World Cup approaches so to play for a club that is performing well is essential." Aramburu, 30, made his international debut against Chile in 2004. He has since won 14 caps scoring seven tries including one against Georgia in the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France. He joins Glasgow from Dax in France. Glasgow completed a hat-trick of signings today with the news that both winger Colin Shaw and number 8 Ryan Wilson have also signed for the Warriors. Shaw will rejoin the Warriors on a fulltime basis having spent a year on an international sevens contract. Having already made 45 appearances for Glasgow, Lineen believes that Shaw is ready to fulfil his potential as a Warrior. "Colin has been on the Glasgow scene for a while now," he said, "so I'm delighted to see he's now realising his undoubted ability. "He's been one of our most consistent performers when he's played and I believe that the best is yet to come from Colin Shaw." Back-rower Wilson will join the Warriors from English Championship side Moseley. Lineen continued: "I was impressed with Ryan's attitude when he came up to speak with us. "He's a big unit and wants to succeed. He will also further strengthen our back-row."
