This inaugural event is hoping to raise just a fraction of the much needed £2 million to keep the hospice functioning on a yearly basis. The golf event, taking place at Pollok Golf Club, will see Scotland's business community mix with an array of Scottish sporting talent, past and present, in what will be a fun day but with a serious message. McCrea Financial Services' Managing Director, Douglas McCrea, has been delighted with the response to the event and says: "I have been overwhelmed with the response from the business and sporting community. "It is a real bonus to have the likes of Dan Parks along with a number of the current Scotland Rugby squad, play with football legends such as Bertie Auld, Alan Rough and well known faces such as Dougie Donnelly and Pat Nevin." "The objective is to have an enjoyable day's entertainment, try not to play too badly, in good company and raise money for a fantastic cause at the same time. "The main prize on the day will be a £20,000 BMW for anyone fortunate enough to get a hole in one at the 17th. However the overall winner will be St. Margaret's Hospice with the money we will raise". |
