Glasgow Warriors are calling on the city's sports fans to unite next season as they launch their 2010/11 Season Ticket packages. Players with an affinity for different areas of the city - Alastair Kellock (north), James Eddie (South), Jon Welsh (East) and Johnnie Beattie (West) - today reinforced the message that the Warriors play for the entire city of Glasgow and hope to bring rugby success to the area. Warriors captain, Kellock, said: "There's no doubt that the support is growing every year and the atmosphere at Firhill has been fantastic. "The season tickets are a great way to support the team and I would encourage as many fans to secure theirs now. The support of the fans has been vital to our success this season and I hope that more and more people will sign up for next year's campaign." Chief Executive Kenny Baillie added: "At the Warriors we believe we have put together an excellent and affordable package for all our supporters for the 2010/11 season. "Given the competition within the city of Glasgow and west central Scotland and, whilst being mindful of the current tough economic climate, I believe our season ticket prices are fair and competitive. "We're particularly pleased to be introducing a new Band of Warriors parent and child ticket which demonstrates our on-going commitment to young fans." "With season ticket and match ticket income being our biggest revenue stream, we also had to structure our prices in a way that will enable the club to be as competitive as possible in the Magners League. Like all Warriors supporters, I am looking forward to another exciting season at Firhill." The Warriors have just two games left of the regular 2009/10 Magners League season and their last fixture is at home against European champions and league leaders Leinster on Friday night (23 April, kick-off 8pm) as their race towards the play-offs continues. The 2010/11 Glasgow Warriors season ticket has more benefits than ever before as two Italian teams enter the Magners League for the first time. The Warriors will also compete on the European stage in the Heineken Cup. Under 18 season tickets have been frozen at £30, despite the increase in matches, which works out at just £2.14 per game. Season tickets for students and senior citizens are priced at £90 with adults priced at £170 - a saving of £110 on match-day ticket prices. The new season also sees the introduction of a new 'Band of Warriors' season tickets for families. An adult and child can experience all the twists and turns of a season for £190. In addition, there are over £100 of further benefits including free entry into the away 1872 Cup derby match against Edinburgh at Murrayfield, two further Edinburgh home games, plus free entry for you and two friends to the Warriors' home pre-season friendly (opposition tbc).
