Glasgow Warriors’ Canadian international winger, DTH van der Merwe, is hoping that his return to action in the Heineken Cup crunch match with Gloucester tomorrow night (Friday 11 December, kick-off 7.30pm) will be a springboard to first XV success. Tickets to tomorrow night’s game against Gloucester - priced at £15 for adults in advance with a new AnyGame voucher (£20 on match days), £10 for students and senior citizens and just £5 for under 18s – can be purchased now by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0844 800 3490, by CLICKING HERE or by visiting Greaves Sports (located on Gordon Street and Sauchiehall Street). Speaking to www.glasgowwarriors.org: “I know I don’t have the start, but at least I’m on the bench from where I will maybe get ten, fifteen, twenty minutes to prove myself to hopefully get into the starting squad next week. “The beginning of the year was tough, and then with the hand injury, I just want to redeem myself. “I’m here to help Glasgow win and that’s just my number one goal.” In addition to the excitement building ahead of the two back-to-back Heineken Cup matches, DTH feels that the 1872 Cup derby rivalry between Glasgow and Edinburgh is "like a Canada/USA rivalry"! |
