Glasgow Warriors were today given a major boost ahead of tomorrow night’s Heineken Cup clash with Newport Gwent Dragons (15 January, kick-off 7.30pm) as tight-head prop Moray Low re-signed for a further two years. Low, who joined the Warriors as an apprentice back in 2006, has since made a significant impact not only on the professional stage, but on the international scene also, making his Scotland debut against France in the 2008 RBS 6 Nations.
Commenting on today’s news, Low said: “I’m delighted to have re-signed with Glasgow because it’s a great club and good for my development as a player. “Not only do we have a great group of lads here, but we will soon have a fantastic training facility in Scotstoun. “I believe the more of the young players we can keep here the better so I’m happy to have made sure my future is in a Glasgow jersey.” Speaking whilst in attendance at the royal opening of the Warriors’ new training facility at Scotstoun Stadium today, Warriors head coach Sean Lineen added: “Moray has so much potential and I think it’s just fantastic that he’s signed with us. I’ve watched him grow since he signed as a youngster. “He’s got a great work ethic and it shows his ambition to stay with Glasgow. He’s becoming a leader and playing for Scotland is what he deserves. He will be one of the key men in the future years of Glasgow.” |
