Glasgow Warriors scrum-half Mark McMillan will leave the club at the end of the season to join English Premiership side Bath. McMillan leaves the club following his second spell in Glasgow having already played for the Warriors in season 2003/04. On his pending departure, McMillan said: “Leaving Glasgow was a very tough decision to make but one I felt I had to do for both rugby and personal reasons. “I’ve had some great experiences during my two spells with Glasgow and I hope to leave with even greater memories by achieving a top four finish and a place in the play-offs. “Glasgow has a growing support and the fans have been very good to me. I thank them for their support and also extend those thanks to the players, coaches and staff at the club.” Mark made his debut for Glasgow in the Celtic Cup victory over Celtic Warriors in September 2003 before he joined Leeds Tykes later that season. He then moved to London Wasps in summer 2006 - with whom he won the Heineken Cup in 2007 and the Guinness Premiership in 2008 - before returning to Glasgow Warriors in summer 2008. Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen added: “Mark is a real pro and a very ambitious rugby player. I wish him all the best and know he will give his all for Glasgow for the rest of the season.” Glasgow squad update (as at 3 March 2010) |
