Glasgow Warriors lock, Richie Gray, today reflected on winning his debut cap in Scotland’s opening game of the RBS 6 Nations at Murrayfield yesterday.

The 6ft 9in 20-year-old, said: “It was a real honour to play for my country.

“The game was really fast and a massive step up from what I’m used to. I think my first touch of the ball was behind our own try line and about three or four guys jumped on me.”

Now with his first taste of international rugby under his belt, Gray admits he is hungry for further honours: “It was an amazing experience and I definitely have an appetite for more.”
