ImageGlasgow Warriors full-back Bernie Stortoni last night sat down to a plate-full of haggis, neaps and tatties at Esporta Milngavie to celebrate Burns' Night after admitting he’s a big fan of Scotland’s national dish.

The 33-year-old Argentinian has enjoyed another rock-solid season for Sean Lineen’s side and admits he is enjoying providing the old head in a young and exciting backline.

And Bernie has no doubt that, despite Sunday’s Heineken Cup defeat to Biarritz, Glasgow can book a berth in the first-ever Magners League play-offs.

He said: “I love it here at Glasgow and it has been great to see the way we have developed and progressed over the three seasons I have been here.

“I am very settled in the squad and my family are also settled in Glasgow. We love life in the city.

"I am keen to play a part for Glasgow and, if we can make the Magners League play-offs, that would give us a lot of confidence for the Heineken Cup next season.”
