Stand-off Ruaridh Jackson has today penned a two year extension to his contract with Magners League leaders Glasgow Warriors. Jackson, who burst onto the professional scene with a blistering display against Bath in the Heineken Cup last season, quickly became Glasgow’s first choice no 10. However, his personal progress was curtailed due to a shoulder injury sustained whilst scoring against Munster in the opening game of the current season. Despite that setback, and the return to form of Dan Parks, Jackson has returned to first team action and is continuing to show he can cut it at the top of the professional game. Delighted to secure his future with the Warriors, Jackson said: “I’ve learned a lot since I’ve been with Glasgow and I think it’s the ideal place for me at the moment. I’ve been working hard with Sean Lineen and the coaches whilst also being in constant contact with the national coaches on what I need to improve on. “I’m really excited about the new training facilities we’re moving to in the summer - I think that’ll be a big positive. The club’s definitely going in the right direction, and with us sitting at the top of the league, everything is going well.” Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen, added: “Ruaridh has a very strong work ethic and is developing nicely here at Glasgow. “He’s been with us for a couple of years now and is a wonderful talent. I’m a big fan of Ruaridh’s and have been impressed with everything about him.” |
