Glasgow Warriors stand-off Ruaridh Jackson is poised to make his return from injury four months since he dislocated his shoulder whilst scoring a try against Munster in the first game of the season. Jackson’s inclusion in the match-22 comes as Warriors head coach Sean Lineen looks to finalise his squad for tomorrow’s Greaves Sports 1872 Cup decider against Edinburgh at Murrayfield (Saturday 2 January, kick-off 3.05pm – live on STV). Lineen said: “It’s great to see Ruaridh back. He’s a quality player. Dan [Parks] is going really well right now so Ruaridh will be looking to pick up where he left off having scored such a crucial try against Munster at the start of the season.” Two players are continuing to be monitored in the run up to tomorrow’s crunch match, the first leg of which Glasgow won 25-12 at Firhill. Scrum-half Chris Cusiter was substituted in the first half of last weekend’s game following a head knock whilst hooker Dougie Hall hopes to shake off some pain in his shoulder/upper back.
