Scotland captain Chris Cusiter today spoke to the Glasgow Warriors’ official website – www.glasgowwarriors.org – about his debut appearance in the inter-city derby that is the Greaves Sports 1872 Cup.

Cusiter, who captained Scotland in all three of the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests, signed for Glasgow from French Top 14 side Perpignan in the summer and now hopes that victories over rivals Edinburgh will prolong Glasgow’s spell at the top of the Magners League.

The scrum-half also hopes to play in front of a big crowd at Firhill which he feels would be a massive boost for the players.

The first leg of the Greaves Sports 1872 Cup is at Firhill on Sunday 27 December (kick-off 3.05pm, live on STV).
