VIDEO: CUSITER VOWS SCOTLAND WILL PLAY WITH AMBITION PDF Print
Wednesday, 18 November 2009

Glasow scrum-half and Scotland captain, Chris Cusiter, believes the national team will play with real ambition against Australia during Saturday’s Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Test at Murrayfield (21 November, kick off 5.15pm).

Scotland defeated Fiji 23-10 last Saturday and scored two eye-catching tries courtesy of Warriors team-mates Johnnie Beattie and Graeme Morrison.

But captain Cusiter believes there is still room for improvement and says Scotland will aiming to deliver a more polished performance against the Wallabies.

Cusiter said: “We are aiming to increase the intensity against Australia on Saturday. Last week, we felt we didn’t maintain the intensity in our performance in the second half.

“We realise we won’t have that luxury this weekend. This week we have talked a lot about our ambition and the style which we want to play.

“There is no secret, if we drop our intensity – even just for a couple of minutes – that could lead to scores against us.

“Australia are such a dangerous team – just one defensive lapse could lead to a try. We have to get it right from the start.”

Adult tickets for the matches against Australia and Argentina cost £10, £20 and £40 with concessions for children and students at £5, £10 and £20.

Tickets are on sale now via the 24 hour credit card hotline 0844 335 3933; through the Scottish Rugby website www.scottishrugby.org; or in person from the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre, Murrayfield Stadium, which is open 9am-8pm, Monday to Friday this week. Please note a booking fee applies for all credit card transactions.  You can also buy your ticket through your local rugby club who will then receive 25% commission for any purchase.  You can find your closest rugby club by logging on to the Scottish Rugby website.
