Glasgow Warriors players were in action all over the world at the weekend.

Closest to home were the eight players involved in Scotland’s 23-10 victory over Fiji at Murrayfield.

Johnnie Beattie and Graeme Morrison crossed for both of Scotland’s tries whilst Chris Cusiter captained the side and Moray Low picked up the Man of the Match award.

In the closing stages of the game, young flanker Richie Vernon ran on for his first cap.

In Wales, Justin Va’a was in the Manu Samoa front-row as they pushed Wales all the way in a close encounter at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Friday night, just losing out 17-13.

On the other side of the world, Kevin Tkachuk took the field in Tokyo as he won his 51st cap for Canada.

The Canadians lost 46-8 in the first of two tests against Japan.

The hosts scored a total of six tries - including three first half markers to build a 25-3 half time lead.

Nathan Hirayama scored the lone Canadian try while James Pritchard provided a penalty goal in the first half.
