Glasgow Warriors have been forced into making two changes to their starting XV ahead of tomorrow’s Heineken Cup opener against Biarritz (Saturday 10 October, kick-off 3:45pm). Tickets to Saturday’s game against Biarritz - priced at £15 for adults in advance with a new AnyGame voucher (£20 on match days), £10 for concessions (including students) and £5 for under 18s – can be purchased now by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0844 800 3490 or by CLICKING HERE. Glasgow Warriors’ new AnyGame Vouchers have been introduced to encourage supporters to buy early and, to avoid queues, are not for sale or collection on match days. Rob Dewey will make his first start at inside centre, the position in which he won the majority of his 13 international caps, since signing for the Warriors as Graeme Morrison is sidelined by a shin injury. Morrison injured his shin during the early stages of Saturday’s win over Cardiff but managed to play 78 minutes of the game. “Graeme picked up a bad leg knock last Saturday and wasn’t a well lad at the beginning of this week,” said Warriors head coach Sean Lineen. “We’ve given him as much time as possible to recover because he was desperate to play but we’ve got to make the call at the end of the day. “Rob Dewey has played international rugby at inside centre so I’m confident he’ll do a good job.”
Scrum-half Chris Cusiter continues to be hampered by the affects of a flu bug and will be replaced by Colin Gregor who was at the heart of last weekend’s side that defeated Cardiff Blues (21-5) at Cardiff City Stadium. “Chris has called off due a throat infection and no-one is more disappointed about him not playing than he is,” Lineen continued, “but we’ve got to look after the health of our players. “However, we can now bring in a fantastic player in Colin Gregor who had a great game in Cardiff and who thrives in Europe.” Canadian international DTH van der Merwe is promoted to the right wing as a result of Dewey’s move. Mark McMillan and Peter Horne replace Gregor and van der Merwe on the bench respectively.
