Colin Shaw - seen here in action for Scotland 7s - scored Glasgow's only try against the Dragons. Glasgow Warriors tasted defeat for the first time this season as they fell at the hands of bogey side Newport Gwent Dragons.
The Warriors found themselves behind immediately as the Dragons crossed for a soft early score by stand-off James Arlidge who converted his own try.
Fullback James Tovey and winger Aled Brew then crossed the line to give the hosts a commanding lead. Parks, the Glasgow playmaker, interspersed both tries with successful penalties.
Glasgow's Scotland 7s contracted winger, Colin Shaw, crossed for the visitors' only try moments later. Parks added the extras before he and Tovey exchanged penalties ahead of the half-time break.
Half-time score: Dragons 22-16 Warriors
Parks and Tovey both slotted early second-half penalties before the hosts sealed their bonus point with a well worked try.
Winger Richard Fussell latched on to a loose kick to counter-attack, beating half of the visiting defence, before centre Ashley Smith won the race to Arlidge's grubber-kick to the corner.
Glasgow prop Justin Va'a was sin-binned in injury time after a series of collapsed scrums and warnings.
