![]() Peter Murchie slices through the Scarlets defence. Glasgow Warriors made it two wins from two as they defeated Llanelli Scarlets in their second successive home Magners League clash. Warriors stand-off Dan Parks, the League’s record points scorer, was the main authority for the home side as he notched all but five of Glasgow’s points. The balance coming from a Rob Dewey try. After the game, Warriors head coach Sean Lineen, said: “There was a good crowd again. I thought John Barclay was outstanding, Bernardo Stortoni at the back was also very good. "We won. But that’s about it. We butchered five opportunities to score and that’s something we need to work on. There’s no need to panic, we just need to build our scores.” Following two missed penalties from both Parks and his opposite number Rhys Preistland, the Glasgow marksman gave Dewey a perfectly weighted pass to put him through for the opening try. Parks converted before the visitors responded with a superb Daniel Evans try after he broke from 45 metres. Priestland's first penalty edged Scarlets in front by a single point at half-time. Half-time score: Warriors 7-8 Scarlets Parks and Priestland exchanged penalties to see-saw that lead between the home side and the visitors. ![]() Dan Parks clocked 14 of Glasgow's 19 point balance. Just after the hour mark, the vocal Glasgow support was appreciative of Parks’ ingenuity as he fired home a drop goal to give Lineen’s side the advantage going into the closing stages. Parks completed his haul, and sealed the game for Glasgow, with two further penalties to elevate the Warriors to the top of the Magners League table which they now occupy alongside fellow Scots Edinburgh. The Warriors now face Newport-Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade next Friday night before welcoming the Ospreys to Firhill for yet more Magners League action.
