Glasgow Warriors back-rower Calum Forrester will make his Scotland ’A’ team debut tomorrow night against Uruguay at the IRB Pacific Nations Cup.

Scotland ‘A’ head coach Andy Robinson has made 11 changes to his starting line-up for the second match of the tournament which will take place at the Stadionul National Arcul de Triumf in Bucharest, Romania (kick-off 4pm local time).

Among those retaining their place from the 49-7 triumph over Russia is Warriors captain Alastair Kellock, who joins up with fellow Warrior James Eddie, and Kelly Brown.

Gloucester scrum-half Rory Lawson will captain the side having replaced Chris Cusiter in the number nine jersey.

Meanwhile, Glasgow’s Eddie is aiming to rise to the occasion by making his first start in the second row for Scotland ‘A’.

Previously employed in the back row, the 24-year-old admits he is planning to seize his chance, even though it will be in a different department in the pack.

Eddie said: “I enjoy playing in the back row, but I think it is important to show that I can play in different positions.”

Following in the footsteps of Matt Mustchin, Eddie acknowledges the transformation from flanker to lock could pave the way through to a potential career in Test rugby.

He added: “It gives me a chance in front of the coaches to show what I can do. As long as I’m playing rugby then I’m happy and if playing in the second row means I can play at a higher level then it is definitely something I would be interested to pursue.”
