I played for Ayr for 10 years between the ages of eight and eighteen.

First position you ever played in…
The first position I ever played in was centre.

The moment you thought you might become a professional rugby player…
The moment that I began to think that I might actually become a pro rugby player was when I was eighteen. I was asked to play a pre-season friendly for Glasgow v Gloucester at Kings Home.

Most memorable try…
It was during the above match that I scored my most memorable try.

Most difficult opponent…
Joe Rokocoko.

Best stadium you have ever played in…
Westpac Stadium in New Zealand.

Biggest influence on your career so far…
Without a doubt it’s got to be my parents.

Greatest ever holiday…
It would be when I went skiing in the French Alps but that was a good few years ago now.

Greatest ever film seen…
Memphis Belle – it is a French war film, released in the early 1990s.

Last CD you bought…
I can’t remember what the last CD I bought was but the last album that I downloaded was the latest Kings of Leon album.

Favourite ever CD…
Usher’s 8701 album.

Best thing about living in Glasgow…
It is definitely not the weather! I do enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life though. There is always something going on in Glasgow.

Main hobby away from rugby…
I am a keen golfer and enjoy walking my dog.
