Glasgow Warriors lost tonight’s Magners League clash against Ulster in atrocious conditions at Ravenhill in Belfast. The spark that initiated Ulster’s first of two tries came from an attack ignited by winger Simon Danielli. The Scotland internationalist took the ball from a switch move and sent Darren Cave through between the posts. Ian Humphreys converted. Warriors prop Kevin Tkachuk was then penalised for hitting a ruck from the side – a mistake for which Ulster issued the ultimate punishment. Danielli was involved once again as he popped the ball inside to Andrew Trimble who broke through tackles from both Hefin O'Hare and Mark McMillan to run in from distance. The weather conditions turned against Glasgow in the second half as driving wind and rain poured down on Ravenhill. Neither side could cross the whitewash, nor dare attempt a kick at goal, in the second half as the scoreboard froze amongst the appalling weather conditions. The only good news for Warriors fans came when both Richie Gray and Peter Horne joined Chris Kinloch on the field as the three youngsters continued to stake a claim at professional level.
