Glasgow Warriors captain, Alastair Kellock, will make his return to the Scotland starting XV this weekend as he was today named alongside six other Warriors in the Scotland team to face Italy at Murrayfield on Saturday. Kellock is one of two changes Frank Hadden has made to the team that played France a fortnight ago. Euan Murray has recovered from a rib injury and returns at tight-head prop to win his 26th cap. Al Kellock speaks Kellock, replaces Jim Hamilton who suffered shoulder damage in Paris. Hadden said: “We took a bold approach to selection last week and performed bravely in Paris. The approach to this game remains the same. We are delighted to recall Euan Murray and bring someone as experienced as Al Kellock in to replace Jim Hamilton.” Flanker John Barclay, wing Thom Evans and centres Graeme Morrison and Max Evans all start whilst Dougie Hall and Kelly Brown are listed among the replacements. Chris Cusiter, who will become a Warrior in the summer, is also named on the bench.

Almost 50,000 tickets have now been sold for Saturday’s match. This is the last opportunity to buy tickets to see the national team play ‘live’ this season – tickets for Scotland v Ireland at home sold out last month. (Please note there are no ticket sales on match days and car parking is not available at Murrayfield.) |
