Frank Hadden praised Scotland’s attitude and commitment after the 22-13 defeat by France in Paris but acknowledged that the amount of penalties conceded was the decisive factor in determining the outcome of the RBS 6 Nations match. Scotland produced a spirited display and scored a well-taken try through Thom Evans with 10 minutes remaining; much to the pleasure of head coach Hadden. Hadden said: “Our attitude was spot on and our intensity was spot on. We were good in and around the contact area and we were brave everywhere on the field. “But the penalty count did for us and that was obviously very disappointing.” |
