Glasgow Warriors have made four changes, one positional, to the team that started last weekend’s historic Heineken Cup victory over Toulouse in France for this Sunday’s visit of Newport Gwent Dragons to Firhill (kick-off 3pm). Fresh from his call-up to the Scotland squad this week, stand-off Ruaridh Jackson is the only new face in the Warriors’ back-line. On his return from injury to front-line duties, Jackson commented: “It’s been quite a hectic, but very enjoyable, week. It was a bit of a shock to get a call-up to the Scotland training camp and now I’ve been given my second start for Glasgow in the Heineken Cup. “I loved every minute of the Bath game and I can’t wait to be involved again from the start this weekend.” In the pack, the front five remains the same whilst both Calum Forrester and Johnnie Beattie return to the back-row. The versatile Kelly Brown moves from blindside to openside flanker as a result. With two domestic starts for the Warriors already to his name, Forrester is delighted to be handed his first in European competition. “I’m absolutely delighted to get another start for Glasgow,” he said. “It’s been frustrating not to have played as much first team rugby as I would like but I’m determined to take my chance on Sunday in a massive game against the Dragons.” Glasgow Warriors team to play Newport Gwent Dragons in the Heineken Cup at Firhill on Sunday 25 December (kick-off 3pm) 15 Bernardo Stortoni 14 Jose Maria Nunez Piossek 10 Ruaridh Jackson 1 Justin Va’a Substitutes Tickets for Sunday’s game – priced at £20 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for under 18s – are available by calling the ticket hotline on 0844 800 3490 or by clicking here.
